Tourist information Anyone choosing to visit the Tremiti Islands will find modern hotels, guest houses, holiday villages, restaurants, camping sites and shops of all kinds as well as good tourist and sports amenities: sailing, swimming, underwater fishing and windsurf schools. Free camping is not allowed and official camping is only permitted at the Punta  Diamante  on San Domino. Bookings must be made well in advance both for camping sites and hotels as in spring they are usually already fully booked for the months of July and August. There are motor boat and hydroplane services from Manfredonia, Vieste, Peschici, Rodi Garganico at differing times, according to season. Most people land at San Nicola, connected to the other islands by a regular boat service. If the motor boats or hydroplanes cannot for some reason berth and are forced to anchor at a distance, transport to the jetty is arranged but this must be paid by the passengers. Cars are not allowed on the island but at all the ports of embarkation there arc car parks, some with wardens. At San Dornino there is a public transport system for visits and transfers on the island.
